How do I delete someone from my family tree?

To remove a relation from your Findmypast family tree, follow these simple steps:

1. Select the person in your family tree to display their profile details in the sidebar
2. At the top-right of the sidebar, select the dustbin icon. You'll be asked if you're sure you want to delete this person and their details forever.
3. Select the 'Delete' button to proceed. The person will be removed from your family tree and replaced with an 'Add a relative' tile.

We recommend deleting people from your family tree only if absolutely necessary. In some cases, editing their details might be a better solution.
