As well as the ecclesiastical records showcased on findmypast, the office preserves original documents covering many aspects of life in the county, including public bodies, the Diocese of Lincoln, chapels, landed estates, businesses, organisations and societies. Among these can be found wills, title deeds, minute books, letters and diaries, manorial documents, financial records, maps, plans and photographs.

The Archives is also home to the Foster Library containing many historical and local publications.

Vital records

The Lincolnshire Archives have contributed greatly to our Church of England parish records of baptisms, marriages and burials for churches in Lincolnshire. The registers are a vital resource for people researching the family and local history of the county.
